What are the benefits of using a Wedding Planner?

There are many benefits of using a wedding planner in all aspects of your planning right up until the day of the wedding. Some of your main benefits include,

  • We will reduce the amount of time you spend looking for the best venue and suppliers significantly.

  • We can negotiate discounts with your suppliers so sometimes this can be as much as to negate our fee.

  • We have a great relationship with all the best local venues and suppliers.

  • We can adjust our costs to fit your budgets so most couples can actually afford a wedding planner.

  • We can manage your entire budget ensuring that you never go over, but also allowing you to have everything you want within your budget.

  • We have an emergency wedding kit for the day of the wedding that you and your guests can make full use of.

  • Your stress levels will be significantly reduced and you can relax and enjoy your wedding day knowing that everything is in hand.

Our venue has it's own Wedding Coordinator, do I need a planner too?

Firstly you need to enquire about what responsibilities the venue coordinator has because many couples find they do not fulfil their expectations.

Things to know about a venue coordinator,

  • They are great at their jobs BUT they are employed by the venue, not by you, and they will only perform certain tasks.

  • They know their venue inside and out, but they will also have several couples every week during the wedding season, so that's a lot of different weddings to be juggling. It is unlikely they will have the time to do anything outside of their remit.

  • One thing that surprises many couples is that venue wedding coordinators do not work on a Saturday so they will not be there for your special day. They will have passed it over to an event manager, but if you were hoping for a personal touch on the day you will need to check their working hours, they mainly work Mon-Fri 9 to 5.

In contrast, a wedding planner will,

  • We will assist will every single aspect of planning a wedding, no matter how complicated.

  • We will always find the best suppliers that complement your vision and we are employed by you, you are our priority and we will only usually have a few other couples per season. We will get back to you within a few hours at the very latest, no waiting for answers.

  • We will be there for you on the day making sure everything runs smoothly and you never know of any issues. We do a detailed timeline for every single person involved in the wedding so everyone is on the same page.

I don't want to lose control of my own wedding

In our initial planning meeting, we will ask you what level of control you want to keep with the planning. We are more than happy for you to make all the decisions or let us make the decisions for you if you wish. We will never take over if this is not what you want.

How often will I have contact with you?

In our initial planning meeting, we will determine what level of contact you require. We can update you on everything at the time or we can provide daily, weekly or monthly updates depending on how close we are to the wedding date. Contact can be made via email, phone or in person, again this depends on your personal wishes, we are extremely flexible.

I want to get married outside in the UK, is this possible?

Yes, this is possible and a lot of venues now have an outdoor space that is licensed for your wedding civil ceremony, however, please remember that contingency plans will need to be made for the UK weather so this can increase your costs. Please see our Venue Sourcing service for more details.

We have started planning, can you still help?

Yes, we can take over at any stage of your planning process.

What is your code of ethics?

We are very proud to be a 'Professional' member of the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners and this ensures that all members act with integrity and honesty at all times.

This is a full list of their Code of Business Practice that we will always adhere to.
